since you know magic johnson is filthy rich. he takes a medicine that is very expinsive and normal people can’t afford, that medicine doesen’t cure the aids but it makes it much slower. also magic johnson works out around 4 hours a day

think this is America any other country he would have died by now but America has better tech. but there is still no cure for HIV/AIDS but u can live with it.

I am certainly not an expert, but this is my recollection of events.

Magic was diagnosed with as HIV positive, but he never had AIDS. I believe AIDS is what results from being HIV positive. I believe you can have this disease in varying degrees as there are different stages of the disease. I believe Magic was diagnosed with the disease early on. Of course with the video Magic and Arensio made and for pete’s sake he was on the President’s Council for AIDS research, not to mention Magic is extremely wealthy, he was getting the best treatment possible. I don’t think that helped Magic significantly until recent years when more breakthroughs have occured in AIDS research. If you look at some of the 24 hour fitness commercials Magic did about 4 or 5 years ago he doesn’t look very well in them.

I believe in the last year or two Magic has been found not to have any traces of HIV in his system. To answer your question about whether AIDS is cured I do not believe so. However I believe they have found drugs on an experimental basis that can curtail the effects of HIV on the body. I also think it would be wrong to say Magic is out of the woods when it comes to HIV. I think he still has to take multiple medications daily and he probably always will have to.
