He affected all of our lives. I’m just kidding, I’m glad he is dead. just one less pedophile to worry about.

well i think its like this
you know how Michael Jackson was like the leader in everything he does
like music videos and concerts
i think that helped magic to become a better leader

I just don’t understand why Jordan wasn’t their cause they have actually collaborated on some stuff and Jordan has said clearly that MJ was an important part of his life while im hearing this for the first time from Magic.

for Leadership and Perfection
Michael was a perfectionist, he wanted to be the best ever-very competitive person, everything he did was to better someone else…he gave to charities, created songs to bring people together and to support charities and causes, he visited just as many sick children hospitals as he did concerts
Michael Jackson was a creater, a leader, never a follower
In basketball, a pg has to be a leader and make the people around him better
Magic wanted to be the best point guard ever
it inspired him to be a true leader for LA, to lead his teammates as the pg he was

That’s funny. I thought having Worthy, Scott, Wilkes, and some guy named Jabbar as teammates helped him be a better one. While having competition like, Bird, Erving, Jordan, Thomas. Now I find out it was the wrong MJ that made him better. Dammit.

Michael allowed Magic to become more famous as an athlete and entertainer. Michael helped make it OK for whites to be fans of blacks. That’s still a difficult thing. On average, a white entertainer/athlete still gets more attention, etc. than a black one with equal (or more) achievements. Steve Nash is an excellent example. And I say that as a white guy who’s not really a fan of affirmative action, etc.
Did this actually help Magic become a better basketball player? Yes, if fame helped his leadership and confidence. This is especially true for a flashy "showtime" player that wows the crowds. It’s also true that the great ones want to be appreciated. Like how Roger Federer talks about his legacy all the time.
