Magic Johnson was clearly the greatest basketball player of all time, and anyone who says otherwise just don’t know basketball. Like someone else here said, Magic Johnson could turn any team into winners, nothing any other player could do (including Jordan). I know, Magic said that Jordan was the greatest, what did you expect him to say – himself. You gotta understand magic’s personality, he always complimented others and was never full of himself, a trend that seemed to start by Mr. Jordan.

You can not judge greatness by stats. If that were the case then Robert Horry is one of tha all time greatest because of all his championships. Michael Jordan knew he would never be a winner until Magic, Bird, isiah Thomas, and the othr greats retired. Then he took over, who did he have to battle? The sorry Stockton Jazz, Shawn Kemp Sonics, Ewing Knicks, it is so laughable. The 90’s were a joke. I sure wish Magic was able to ply into the 90’s like he should have, Mike would have had like 2 rings

@hobbie13 Well Michael Jordan won his first in 1990-91 season against the lakers. Magic retired thereafter. Aside from that Magic had a better supporting cast than Jordan. Look Jordan is the best player, many people try to refute that but its sad. Instead of trying find a way of disproving it just accept it as a known. Many analysts have reviewed his play. No one at that time could play at that lvl. Magic was a great player but he was no jordan, he was beat by jordan in the finals.

@KimfromSoCal so did wilt chamberlain he averaged 37.6ppg haha and oscar robertson 35ppg lol and kareem so did kareem you people make jordan seem so overrated yes he is great but you leave great people out to who have accomplished much more then him in records thanks to magic who retired jordan had the easy way in the 90’s the lakers had old people when he played and magic was probably worried about his problem that wasy as well

@cmbat366 hmm, that’s funny, I thought the LA Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls in the finals, I wasn’t aware that Jordan and Magic had a finals by themselves. Before you say that Jordan didn’t have as good as supporting cast as Magic, you might want to start with Pippen(one of the proclaimed 50 greatest), then the rebounding machine Dennis Rodman(an allstar) and many others, just take a look back many other all starts too.

@wh3resmycar you won’t make me look stupid, first of all, no one started out his career like Magic, a championship with a performance like he had in game six of the NBA finals. He was amazing from the time he hit the court as a rookie and amazing the last season he made it to the finals, a amazing stretch unmatched by Jordan. 11 amazing seasons.

@KimfromSoCal omg, lol. like what i’ve said. even magic himself (god darn it ive repeated this for the upteenth time already), acknowledges jordan is better than him.
period.
if you still have any half-arsed rebuttal. complain to magic instead.

@KimfromSoCal Bro that was the beginning of the first three peat. Pippen just started getting stardom. Versus Magic who had his cast aside from kareem abdul jabbar who retred 2 years back. He had worthy and byron scott. So really coming in the bulls were the underdogs. Dennis rodman came to the bulls in 1995 so get ur facts right. I WAS TALKING ABOUT 1991 the first final win.

You’re all over the map cmbat. if you were talking about the 90-91 game you might want to take a look at the Lakers’s roster so you get YOUR facts straight. The Bulls were not the underdogs, the Lakers waaay overachieved just to get to the finals that year. Worth had a very bad knee and was in the twilight of his career. I would take a few minutes, do your googling and get a mini education on this. You are way off base to put it mildly.

it’s always so interesting when someone just spews out bs, can’t support it with good stats or facts and the all he(you) has is just a bunch of expletives, you know, the kind of things that are running through you mind day and night cause you have no clue whatsoever…one more thing, battling me with words will just make you look even more stupid than you are, if that is even possible

to everybody that says Jordan dominated cause he didn’t play against guys like Magic and stuff, you gotta be fucking ignorant. He did play against them in the 80’s, he didn’t win at the time? look at the team! When he had a good team to compete, he never stopped winning, without his retirement, he probably would have won like 8 titles and as many finals MVP. He was so good even in the 80’s that everybody complained about the MVP award Magic received in 88, when he was still at his prime

Magic himself, and most of the “greatest” bball players admit it:Jordan is the best of all time. The competitive mind-set MJ had and the ability to always get better and flawless in clutch time simply put him on top of the list. Tell him he can’t win, be sure he will. That’s it. Put Magic on the court, or Russell or even Robertson, makes no difference to him, he’ll just rise his game to match up with those guys and eventually beat them.

@23LeBronbbalKing Magic didn’t win the ‘** MVP award, it was Michael. That same time he won Defensive Player of the Year.

@KimfromSoCal It seems you’re arguin with someone pal. But it just doesn’t seem right that you sound very rude and call them stupid while bragging that they can’t make you look one when you’re the one who gives nonsense talking.

@StFuMoThErFuCkEr LOL. Jordan made Pippen, Kukoc, Kerr, Paxson and Horace Grant. Even Wennington, Longley and Beutchler. Magic? Kareem was already Kareem when he joined Magic. James Worthy was part of the NC Big Three in his college days (together with Michael Jordan and Sam Perkins). Dude, you’re totally out of your mind. You should consult a psychiatrist as soon as possible. ROFLMAO.
