thats a good question… its because in sports there is a high degree of scratches and cuts thus being dangerous for transmission .

Magic Johnson and Derek Jeter are so alike to me. I hated seeing the Red Sox/Celtics play against them because they were so good, but they seem like really good people outside of sports.

I’m pretty sure it was because the life expectancy of someone with A.I.D.S. is pretty low. So I gather he was going to try to do something else with his life before his life was over. Now hes still alive, which some see as a miracle, and others think he lied about having it. But w/e.

anyone else know or remember that tim hardaway gave up his only all-star starting spot to magic in this game? magic acknowledged his deep gratitude in his post-game speech.
not only that, during the first warriors/lakers game after magic’s team mate, rugged power-forward a.c. green (a devoutly religious man), said magic should not be allowed to return to the nba, hardaway confronted and elbowed a.c. green in the head and got tossed- in a show of support for magic.
tim hardaway got your back!

In my opinion: He is the best. Better than Jordan, Chamberlain and Abdul-Jabbar. Why? He won championschips like Jordan and Jabbar, he had great statistic and his capabilities were very large. He has even a perilous hook shot. He made a triple double in the age of 36 and his statistics in that age (after a break of four years) are awesome.

I agree, Magic was all about the game, his teammates, the fans and even his opponents, he always had a smile for everyone, revolutionized the game and put the “magic” in the NBA. Jordan was all about himself and the money, even to this day the Lebrons of the NBA came after the Jordan egoistical school. Magic was so great that he trascended Basketball, atruly generous man.

My opinion:
he can be called the best not for winning mvp’s, hell lots of championiships and being center of attencion.
he can be called the best for always being so generous, not really carrying for money, always with a smile in his face , and yea, he put MAGIC in NBA
