I actually know the real answer to the question, suprisingly. My old football coach went to Michigan State when Magic went there, and once i asked him about Magic. He told me that while he did not personally know Magic, he knew who he was, and had seen him at some parties. He told me that Magic, for lack of better term, was a man-whore. He had no doubt in his mind that Magic Johnson contracted HIV from the countless number of women that he slept with in college.
