Greatest ever? Maybe in the top 10, but not even close to Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and a couple of others, just off the top of my head.

Magic is not up there with Jordan but did have one of the greatest careers of all-time. If you had to compare someone with mj then maybe Kobe in a couple more years with a couple more rings. Johnson had Kareem therefore reminding me of more of a Clyde Drexler who also won his rings with a hall of fame center Hakeem.

magic is a mazing as much as i hate the lakers i always have respect for magic because hes such a class act and he always would make his teammates better unlike kobe

Magic should be in the conversation for greatest player ever because he’s the only player I know in league history that seriously could have been an all-star at all 5 positions. He played point guard because that’s the position he loved playing, but he could have played (and sometimes did) any position on the court and still been great. I can’t think of anyone else that could have done that. could Larry Bird or Bill Russell ever have played point guard? Jordan could never have played center, Kobe could never play power forward. Wilt could not have played shooting guard and Jerry West could never have been a post player. Magic legitimately could have played any of those positions and still been an all-star.
