I own none of this content. A brief display of the incredible court vision and instincts that made Magic Johnson and the Lakers the NBA’s greatest winners of the 1980’s. This shows highlights dating back to his high school days. The background song is the instrumental version of Atmosphere’s “National Disgrace.” Enjoy!

1984 – 1985 Season During his first season in the NBA, Jordan averaged 28.2 ppg on 51.5% shooting. He quickly became a fan favorite even in opposing arenas, and appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated with the heading “A Star is Born” just over a month into his professional career. Jordan was also voted in as an All-Star starter by the fans in his rookie season. Controversy arose before the All-Star game when word surfaced that several veteran players, led by Isiah Thomas, were upset by the amount of attention Jordan was receiving. This led to a so called “freeze-out” on Jordan, where players refused to pass him the ball throughout the game. The controversy left Jordan relatively unaffected when he returned to regular season play, and he would go on to be voted Rookie of the Year. The Bulls finished the season 38–44, and lost in the first round of the playoffs in four games to the Milwaukee Bucks. en.wikipedia.org

A Jordan analysis by a couple of NBA greats and Kenny Smith. Is Jordan the greatest of all time? As someone who saw him play, not even at his prime, because I’m only 27, I have to say above and beyond Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time. Jordan was just a phenomenon. I love Kobe Bryant, but recently I’ve read the comments of a bunch of 14 year olds who think that Kobe Bryant is better. That’s just really because Kobe is their favorite player, and they never saw how Jordan just dominated day in and day out. And as great as the Jordan highlights are here on youtube, they don’t do justice to how Jordan just dominated every game with his will to win. Something that I cannot say about Kobe. From my knowledge of basketball, the list of players I would pick to take the final shot of a game would be- 1. Michael Jordan 2. Larry Bird – I’ve only seen him in sports classics, but you can just see it in his face, absolute will to win. 3.????? I guess that’s the end of my list, in my 18 years of watching basketball, I really don’t see anyone else in that level, of just having that pure will to win. I’m sure there are others that played before my time and I don’t want to disrespect them just because I never saw them play. The will to win is not something that can be learned, it’s something that a strong soul possess. It’s something that shows even early in a players career because that player was born with that will. You can copy all of Jordan’s move, but you can’t copy the will …
LeBron James dissed by Michael Jordan Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley?! “There’s no way, with hindsight, I would’ve ever called up Larry [Bird], called up Magic [Johnson] and said, ‘Hey, look, let’s get together and play on one team,’” Jordan said after playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Nevada. The interview aired on the NBC telecast of the event. “But that’s … things are different. I can’t say that’s a bad thing. It’s an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys.” “We didn’t think about it cause that’s not what we were about,” said Johnson. “From college, I was trying to figure out how to beat Larry Bird.” bleacherreport.com “Mike and I are in 100% agreement on this,” said Jordan’s buddy, Charles Barkley, to the Arizona Republic. “If you’re the two-time defending NBA MVP, you don’t leave anywhere. They come to you. That’s ridiculous. I like LeBron. He’s a great player. But I don’t think in the history of sports you can find a two-time defending MVP leaving to go play with other people.” Barkley also told a Miami radio station that James “will never be Jordan. This clearly takes him out of the conversation. He can win as much as he wants to. There would have been something honorable about staying in Cleveland and trying to win it as ‘The Man.’ LeBron, if he would’ve won in Cleveland, and if he could’ve got a championship there, it would have been over the top for his legacy, just one in Cleveland. No matter how many he …
This a Magic Johnson mixtape. Highlights of the best point guard in basketball history(in my opinion). The song in the background is Run DMC’s “Rock Box”
