I own none of this content. A brief display of the incredible court vision and instincts that made Magic Johnson and the Lakers the NBA’s greatest winners of the 1980’s. This shows highlights dating back to his high school days. The background song is the instrumental version of Atmosphere’s “National Disgrace.” Enjoy!

INGLEWOOD, Calif., Feb. 15— Earvin (Magic) Johnson scored 39 points and led Los Angeles back from a 17-point third-quarter deficit to a 106-103 victory over the Boston Celtics, giving the Lakers the best record in the National Basketball Association. Johnson scored 8 points over the final three and a half minutes, including two clinching free throws with four seconds to play, to lift the Lakers to their 38th victory in 50 games this season, one game better than the Celtics. After the teams exchanged baskets, Johnson sank an 18-footer with 23 seconds to play to put the Lakers ahead, 102-99. After Robert Parish scored on a dunk, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made two free throws to put the Lakers up by 104-101 with 16 seconds to play. The free throws gave Abdul-Jabbar 10 points, keeping alive his streak of 743 consecutive games in double figures.

Look 6′9 with the body type of bird-magic. not the most athletic but strong and bulky and quick enough.

Has the dribbling skills of magic, court vision and passing skills of magic, "showtime" flashiness of magic while having the 3pt shot of bird, basketball IQ of bird and the strong post play and clutch of bird.

Can play all 5 positions. Sounds to me to be even better than Jordan or Wilt if such a player exists.

Now i’m not hating but I strongly believe this guys is vastly overrated in these 3 categories:

Scoring. – Yes, I said it, LeBron James is an overrated scorer. I know that he can drop 30 – 50 points at any given time but he is such an overrated scorer because more than half his points come from driving to the basket….. people act like his 50% fg% makes him a great shooter but if he took the amount of jump shots that Dirk, Me lo, and Kobe took his fg% would be in the low 40’s…… oh an if you didn’t know about 10 of his points come free throws…

Passing – Yes I know he is a "good" passer for a sf but he only gets that many assits because he has the ball in his hands all the time so yeah that will increase your assists….. I bet if Lamar Odom for the Lakes had the ball in his hands that much he would average the same amount of assits as James….

Clutch – Now I know you guys will disagree with me just because he is one of the top scorers in the 4th q but…. doesn’t he score that amount of points every quarter? Give me a guy like Dirk or Kobe who may go cold the entire 4 quarter but hit a game winner or clutch shot with little time remaining….

Now I’m not hating so don’t bash me if you disagree. give me reasons why I am wrong if you disagree.

Also give the question a star if you agree with any of the above statements please. Thanks
