If Magic Johnson didn’t retire early, we could have seen a Lakers-Bulls rivalry for such a long time in the past. But MJ is the greatest!

they are both great… and they are both the best at their position… but Jordan won 5 mvps 6 titles , made his teammates better, and tossed up great stats…. so im gonna go with Jordan

God I hate this question!!! LOL
Magic Johnson always has been, and always will be my favorite player. I’d have to say Jordan because of his athletic and scoring ability, and his solid defense.
But Magic shared a lot in common with Jordan. He had that killer instinct; he could score, albeit not as well, but when he had to, he could put that ball in the hole; he was obviously a better passer, though Jordan had very good passing skills; Johnson’s defense wasn’t half bad…he led the league in steals two years in a row.
Magic was the one of the greatest of all time, and during the 1980’s, for overall games….he and Bird were king. Jordan gets the nod.
Jordan also earned one more championship, but that was just a bit inflated. He never faced a solid Laker or Celtic team in his, or the Bulls prime.

Any player who played in the NBA during MJ and MJ’s careers will tell you that they’d rather play with Magic than Michael.
Magic made his teammates better, Jordan did not… want proof? Horace Grant. B J Armstrong. Grant plays 16 years in the NBA, Armstrong plays 11 years.
The only time either of them ever made the All Star team was 1994… they both made it that year as members of the Bulls… guess what? Michael wasn’t there to "make them better", he’d retired.
It wsa Pippen who really made guys better on that team.
Once again, ask any player who played during their era, and 100% of them will tell you they’d rather play with Magic than with Jordan, 100% of the time.
King: Magic was obviously just being modest.
